Nokia is one the market leaders in mobile phones in many countries. It success has been largely attributed to its simple design, menu and robustness. Now Nokia has taken the lead in mobile green revolution. The GPS system in the Nokia’s phones is already a hit. The navigator which is assisted by the local GPRS connectivity makes the GPS system even more useful. The Nokia’s most sold phone today as confirmed from local sources is the GPS enabled Nokia navigator or the 6110. Moreover people today understand the need for such a system in the metropolitan areas. But you might be thinking about the relation of GPS and the green revolution. The relation is pretty simple. Most of us are caught in traffic jams today. These traffic jams cost us a lot of time and money. The fuel spent (wasted) in these jams is just what the centre of the problem is. A navigator has a traffic option. It helps you reach your destination by two ways, the fastest and the shortest. Shortest has no meaning since it’ll simply take more time due to a traffic problem. Once you choose your option (fastest), it will guide you to the destination. The result is that you save time, money, energy and you still have your peace of mind. The oil prices in the recent months have shot up like popularity of Hillary and Obama. After costing around $108 per barrel, traffic jams seriously began to hurt most countries. Looking at the time aspect and peace of mind aspect we realize that suddenly we have more time to work, party and rest and hence it improves our efficiency. If our efficiency improves, automatically our company’s efficiency increases resulting in better profits and improving the growth of the company. Such growth is reflected in the stock prices and we can say that overall the country’s economy is improving
